In Reply To: Thanks for your advice. Since a concentration is only 4 classes, does McK actually care how you do in the concentration classes or is your cumulative GPA what's really important? I've heard a lot of mixed things - that no one cares what's on your transcript as long as the GPA on it matches the GPA on your resume vs. interviewers grilling you on your performance in particular classes.
Message: Present yourself in the best way possible; if you have taken several concentration courses and got a 4.0 in them with your overall GPA being only 3.7 then put it on. You just want people to care enough to assign you an interview slot. If your banking interviewer also took 207 with Holthausen or 206 with Cuoco, and you are bragging about your stellar performance, chances are he or she is gonna grill you about your practical knowledge. Bankers have time because they don't do cases. In consulting interviews a big chunck of valuable time is allocated to cases which leaves less for grilling on other fronts. This is all from my own experience, so just one data point.
