Which to choose? |

I was wondering if someone could give me advice on my choice of undergraduate major. I'm a junior, and very interested in working for McKinsey (hopefully this summer or upon graduation).
I go to U Penn (Wharton undergrad), and have to pick a "concentration" soon. For background, everyone at Wharton undergrad earns a bachelor of science in economics, and selects 1 or 2 concentrations. A concentration consists of 4 classes in a specific area, for example: Accounting, Finance, Management, Insurance & Risk Management, Marketing, etc.
It seems to me that most students who go on to work for McKinsey concentrate in Finance. I do not want to concentrate in Finance, since I have no desire for a career in financial services and don't find the subject matter particularly interesting. I am much more interested in concentrating in Insurance & Risk Management (and maybe Accounting too). Both of these are highly quantitative concentrations.
But that being said, should I concentrate in Finance instead, since it seems McKinsey hires mostly finance concentrations from Wharton? Or is the firms just looking for a quantitative concentration/major? I appreciate any advice on this.
