Adam911, thanks for the excellent thread. I am on the same boat as you (starting in a couple of months as JA in a European ofice) and I am really confused as to what the hell I will be doing as well as my career path. Seem to be getting different answers from everybody I ask. |

Regardless of the local variations,Junior Consultant / Junior Associate is an intermediate level between BA and Associate. So you'll do the same job as everyone else, with a somewhat accelerated learning curve.
The exact ratio of direct-to-associate promotion vs. J.A. going to an MBA and the eact timeframe vary quite a bit location by location... anything between 6 months to 18 months sound reasonable.
