You can't go wrong with either Kellogg or Stanford GSB.
At McK, we tend to hire more people from Kellogg (than from Stanford), for a couple of reasons (which have nothing to do with Stanford's quality).
I think that S will give you more snob appeal, if that matters to you (since it is low admit rates).
If I were choosing between the two, I'd ask if you want to live in the Midwest or on the West Coast. I'm more of an East Coast guy, so that influenced my HBS decision.
One comment about the one year program. You comment about costs/savings. A bit of advice, for what its worth, is don't worry about the money. Citibank will be more than happy to keep your pockets fat. Get a good job after school, and one year versus two won't matter. B-School is as much about enjoying the experience, as it is about learning, and rushing through to get a job.
Personally, I think you really need the full two years for the maximum enjoyment and relaxation... |

Great imput - very valuable - how would you compare Stanford vs. HBS? Is HBS that more competitive than stanford? How would you carecterize a typicial HBS grad (how does their personality differ from Stanford?)
Thanks
