In Reply To: I am studying engineering, and even though I am applying for mgt consulting positions, the core of my work experience is engineering-related - now, obviously, I will leave all the details in the "work experience" section, but in the technical skills section, should I keep my "OrCAD pspice and schematics" type details? I mean, it's obviously something that will have no relation to a mgt consulting job, but besides those types of technical skills, that section of my resume just becomes "microsoft office" and the like (which any person remotely considering mgt consulting would know...). Just not sure what I should take off or leave on there.
Message: in your "Skills" section. That is like writing multimeter and oscilloscope under Skills section for your resume to Intel or AMD. If you are that cramped for space, remove PSPICE details. You will never do LRC simulations if you work for MC firms. Also, there are a lot of engineering people at McK so they'll know any undergrad in EE have used SPICE so it's really nothing special.
