To answer your 2nd question:
Booz definitely excels in the nat'l security/defense/intelligenceportion. BAH has legions of consultants with TS/SCI-poly clearances -- a pretty formidable barrier to entry. It also has several ex-generals and admirals as partners, as well as a former CIA director and prior deputy def secretaries on staff. In addition to regular IT stuff, a growing portion of Booz's consulting in this sector is leveraging commercial best practices to the federal govt (eg, IRS) -- really interesting stuff, especially after Katrina.
Not sure how mck and bah compare in other segments of the public sector |

What about lower in the ranks -- Associate level, for example?
Does McK hire different kinds of folks (ie, from its typical profile) to staff its public sector work? For example, are MPAs/MPPs from top schools fungible with top MBAs?
