I've been skimming through this message board, and it has struck me that so many of you have posted messages about background checks. Might it be the case that McKinsey offices based in the US have tougher background check policies? It's just that I can hardly imagine that European universities would disclose, for example, their (former) students' grades. I mean, wouldn't it suffice if students submit a transcript stamped and signed by their respective instutions? I would personally consider such a throrough background check as an intrusion on my privacy.. Or does that sound silly? Just curious to hear about your input!!
