In Reply To: It seems very odd to me that they would put you through three rounds of interviews only to ding you in the final round for not having a good publication record. (In micro-what by the way? Microeconomics? Microbiology? Not that it really matters, just curious...) I have to say I am baffled. I've never come across a situation like this. Sorry I can't provide any more helpful comments!
Message: I thought it was bizarre as well. I initially thought the problem was that they just didn't like me, and didn't want to say that. But the interviewer I spoke with went on and on about how much they liked me, and how they hoped I'd reapply in a couple of years. So, apparently he meant what he said! Oh, microbiology. Thanks for your input!
