First time poster here, but regular reader.
My 10-year career has focused almost solely on marketing communications, and I'm wanting to broaden my responsibilities in marketing whether it be with my current employer or elsewhere. Product management has always fascinated me.
Everyone I've spoken with about this says I have to have experience in promotions, pricing, etc. to get the kind of job I'm looking for, but how do I get the experience without the job? Any suggestions on how I can grow my marketing career?
P.S. I have my undergraduate degree in marketing, and I'm now taking some MBA classes.
