Lead conversion is converting leads that are generated into clients, customers, etc. One of the theories in marketing that continues to be proven are the numbers required. This varies in type of product or service and from one industry to another. So, when 100 companies (or people if consumer product) are contacted, those with any interest are converted into prospects. The prospects (for example 10 of the 100) are then contacted again and the ones making a purchase are converted into clients. The ones not making a purchase continue to be prospects, until such time they have no continuing interest, need, etc. It's kind of like batting averages in baseball. Some Will, Some Won't, So What!, Next!!
