Not sure yet about accepting it.. I did really like the people there, though, and they were originally my targhet firm, I have a few final rounds left with M/B/B and a couple of others, so I thought I'd go through with them, just to check and compare, but unless anything really amazing happens I daresy I'll be sticking with Marakon.
As far as the interviews go, I quite enjoyed them (I really didn;t expect to!). The cases were not too complicated, so long as you knew the profts/revenues/costs relationship and thought about things logically, and there was no estimation exercise. The feedback I got from that was that they liked my structure and use of 'real world' examples and suggestions. The biggest difference from other interviews I have had was that the fit interviews had a greater business focus than most - for example, I was asked what strategy I would adopt if I were CEO of a certain listed company (currently not doing too well), and they asked about other evidence of my interest in business. I would definitely recommend reading the FT for a couple of weeks, and not stressing so much about those case interview prep books. Good luck, if you decide to apply! |
