I can't give you an unbiased answer on the types of resumes because the resumes were sent to us regarding a position for an experienced pre-MBA consultant. As a result, I can only comment on resumes with 1-3 years of experience.
Those people that made it through the screening process were both intelligent and articulate.
My group is healthcare-focused, and several months ago we were looking for consultants with prior work in this industry. The Monitor people who had this experience did not impress us, however. I can't really say whether it was the individuals or the training.

Thanks for sharing your insights your posts have been quite informative. I have recently met a fella who has found an interesting service offering to the healthcare industry focused on buying their bad debt..the guy used to have his own A/R factoring agency but found the margins to be crap..what he is know doing is buying Medical Industry bad debt at their historical return rates(.06 on the dollar and generating returns of over 30% think just .10 on the dollar)what this spells is an interesting area to explore...provide an email if interested in further exploring..this industry is already quite developed on other forns of uncollatoralized consumer debt such as credit cards..but there is no national marker on medical expenses and debtor law varies by state but often allows such advantages as garnished wages in some states to collect on this..anyway far out in right field oppurtonity that maybe worth exploring...i assume you have financial decision maker contact since they are paying your consulting fees...
by the way Monitor has some smart, smart folks and I really liked the people I met
