I worked as a management consultant for three years, just finished my master's, and am applying to consulting firms again. Here's my question: I went to Georgetown undergrad, because I wanted to study international relations, but have since become more interested in business. I was accepted everywhere I applied, including Yale, Princeton, etc., and have been told by contacts at a couple firms now of their "Ivy League Only" or "Top 10 Schools only" hiring policies (if unwritten). SO, to get my resume past the initial computer-checks, I'm considering putting "Accepted to ..." and listing some of those highest-ranking schools.
This strikes me as terribly arrogant and ridiculous, but with how much things are computerised these days maybe necessary. Any else have thoughts? |

I have encountered this in my job search. I recently graduated with an MBA from a very good b-school.....perfect for my needs as a career changer as they offered great internship opportunities.....but it is not one of the "top 10 schools". Despite my work experience with tier 1 companies, I am finding it difficult getting my resume reviewed. One
