I have over 15 years experience as a practising corporate/securities lawyer (no litigation) and want to switch to management consulting. What sorts of transferable skills would a consulting firm find attractive, and how might I market myself to them? I went to top schools and have lots of great work experience. Any useful advice would be greatly appreciated. |

"A lawyer who represents himself in court (or otherwise) has a fool for a client."
You would be wise to get help from someone experienced in knowing how to approach job hunting as a marketing problem; because that is what you are facing.
It's too complicated and fraught with potentially crippling issues, if not handled appropriately.
If you decide the above makes sense, but don't know who is competent to assist you, go to newyorklisting and click on "resumes and services". The services board usually has some professionals listed.
