Even if you had permission to name your client, M/B/B would probably question your confidentiality if you did name the client. Like TCO, I like to say things like "top 10 worldwide mining company" or "$1B chemical producer" (assuming that there are several competitors about this size).
It's not a good idea to do anything that could identify the client, so avoid "US-based manufacturer of commercial aircraft" or "fifth largest company in Mexico."
Also give some context of the size of the business unit you worked in. If you reorganized a sales force, mention that the client has 2000 sales guys and that the sales budget is $90M. If you worked on a customer strategy in business unit X, mention that this business unit has $900M in sales to 32,000 customers.
