what exactly do you want to do? what did you do w/in retailing. there are bound to be some retailer research groups out there if that fits what you want to do. depending on how aggressive you are, you could always look at deals being down by retailing companies and track down some of the big names within each of the firms. when i say deals, i mean mergers, debt offerings, etc. i'm not sure how far it will take you but i know that if someone approached me through that angle, i would give them half a shot as opposed to the kid who sends me a blanket email / letter / resume.

When you say deals being down by retailing companies...I don't exactly understand what you are saying..do u mean by the mergers happening betweeen different companies ex currently a huge daprtment store is being bought over by a retailer giant...stuff like that????
I am currently working as a retail Financial Analyst within a shopping channel company. Prior to this I was working in (merchandising)operations for a blue chip company Woolworths.
Very anxious to hear about the explanation!!!
