Hi Guys,
Just joined vaults. Would love to hear some advise from the pro's... I come from very very different background. RETAIL in London.....(basically merchandising). Have some 5 years experience in this industry and have had enough of it. Looking to change into either i-bank or consulting.... can't get a break though!!!! Have applied to some 10 I banks but no luck...what to do???? |

what exactly do you want to do? what did you do w/in retailing. there are bound to be some retailer research groups out there if that fits what you want to do. depending on how aggressive you are, you could always look at deals being down by retailing companies and track down some of the big names within each of the firms. when i say deals, i mean mergers, debt offerings, etc. i'm not sure how far it will take you but i know that if someone approached me through that angle, i would give them half a shot as opposed to the kid who sends me a blanket email / letter / resume.
