For top-name firms it's really hard to get attention if you're not from a top-tier school like Columbia or Wharton and if you're part-time. Your work experience is strong and should serve you well. However, the resumes being seen in this downturn blow my mind. All the smart people who were making millions on Sand Hill Road left 2 years ago and are now graduating. (Thank goodness I'm not trying to recruit right now.)
Honestly, you do have a better chance in Corp Fin in a big corporation. They will value your pre-MBA experience much more than the consulting firms. Local firms like those in the pharma belt will also have more respect for Seton Hall than a consulting recruiter in Boston.
You sound like you have a good noodle, and I'm sure you'll be successful. I would advise you to spend your time chosing a corporation and a job function... consulting will be very tough for you b/c they just don't recruit much from your school:(
P.S. If you're really set on top-tier consulting, check your alumni connections at Seton Hall and your old audit job. |

thanks for your insight, greatly appreciated. I will look into the alumni connections as you had mentioned.
Thanks
