I am a first year patent attorney from a lower first tier law school (usualy in the 30-40 rank range). I was on law review and graduated with honors/top 10%. Although I have a bio-background, I have focused almost exclusively on e-commerce and internet law. A lot business method patent work, client counseling and lit support on internet issues such as linking and framing, cybersquatting etc.
I would like to move into strategy or management consulting for someplace that works with a lot of e-commerce clients.
Now for the questions:
What sort of pay can I expect?
Given my background, will I be very marketable?
What consulting firms are the most promising to look into?
And for anyone who made the jump from law to consulting, do you regret it? Am I moving to early?
Any info is appreciated. Thanks in advance.
