In Reply To: What is the point of your message? Are you thinking of entering consulting and want to know what long-term consultants are really like? Did you merely hear this cliches somewhere, and you are now desperate to know if they are really the truth? More likely, you just decided to post your thoughts in the form of a question. How delightful, you posted your own bigoted views of consultants hoping to annoy someone, find another bigoted person to agree with you or both. At least have some sack and say "I think consultants are squares/nerds . . ." I especially loved your last line, "I am primarily referring to long-term consultants, not consultants who learn a few tricks for a couple of years then move on to bigger and better things." Why did you feel the need to ask for others thoughts when your opinion is already made? Is validation really that important to you. P.S. I know I'm a loser for taking the time to write such a long message, and that I'm a introverted square/nerd who never gets any and can only dream of being able to touch and I-Banker; so please, don't bother.
Message: Dude, You just validated the earlier poster's question. Damn.
