I would like to make the same sort of move.
I have ten years of post-bachelor's degree experience working for a software startup. I'm now the CTO there.
I'm also about to graduate in May with an MBA (from a top 50, but not top 10, school).
I'd love to break into MC. I've never viewed technology as an end in itself; instead, for me it's always been an interesting way to solve a variety of business problems. I'd like to take that desire, to solve business problems, and apply it on a broader and more diverse scale. Thus the interest in MC.
It seems like my IT background is a hinderance, though. I'm wondering if there is a way to cast my experience in a different way to appear more attractive to the top MC firms (M/B/B).
Anyone got any thoughts?
