In Reply To: in fall, did 1st/2nd round at a big 5. 1st round was more get to know you. 2nd round had more specific questions, but for this one firm, was actually not based on a specific case. questions were open ended, such as 1. give me an example of a time you had to think analytically 2. if you were writing a book 5 years from now on today's economy, what would you include? 3. tell me about your experience with writing software (answer with something about development lifecycle, for example) hope this helps -B
Message: That might be true for an IT firm, but if a strat firm ever asks you to give an example of a time you had to think analytically, post the company and the interviewer's name here and he will surely be fired by Monday morning for asking such a moronic question. Later rounds with a mgmt or strat firm (not an IT firm and therefore not the Big 4) will have much the same feel as previous rounds. They test your analytic skills with cases and they look for "fit" during every interaction you have.
