Good Afternoon:
In strategic management class (Spring 2003), I conducted a case study and a three year plan for Affymetrix, a leading biotech firm in California. I focused on the internal/external analysis, marketing, risk management and strategic alliances/acquisitions segments of the plan, which provided me with the opportunity to spend an extensive amount of time learning about the competitive nature and intense change surrounding the biotech/pharma/life sciences industries.
I have a variety of work experience and a strong academic record (3.9/4.0). While enrolled in college full-time, I also worked two jobs; one full time and one part time (a total of about 60 working hours + school + studying).
In my current position, I work directly with the CEO, the CMO and the COO of a comprehensive financial and benefit consulting firm on projects that develop the business. I have also completed a variety of marketing projects for the firm.
My true passion lies in business development & strategy. I just completed an independent marketing strategy project for a venture capital firm.
I am fascinated by the life sciences. A handful of industry players will revolutionize the way we live, work, and think.
If anyone has insight on how I can best align myself with a life sciences firm, please guide me.
