I recently got my PhD in biology and am currently a postdoctoral fellow. I would like to get into consulting and perhaps (in five years) work in biotech management. I don't have any business background, but the Mckinsey and BCG websites claim to recruit PhDs and train them with business skills (mini-mba programs). How often do consulting firms take PhDs (or non-business masters)? What are the American firms that would be interested? Are their any former scientists out there who could give me some advice?
