As you are working for a competitor you must be quite familiar with the consulting business. And working in this industry is always hard, I think it's the same with your company.
As far as I know they have about 300 consultants around the world, that's seems to be a boutique consultancy as well. And they have a very specialised niche and probably a lot of knowledge their practice fields.

My company is not at all like OC&C. We do work hard but the culture is very different. OC&C is not a boutique - it may have used thave called itself one but now it is an establihed strategy consultancy. I do not agree that they have a very specialised niche either. They will pitch for anything that is "strategy." They are also not known for their industry knowledge. OC&C are known because they employ very intelligent people who are good at solving problems. And this is the reason why I said they are not a bad place to work...
