In Reply To: englaw, Am reading Consulting Demons right now and am not very impressed. It doesn't have the same humorous look at the job as monkey business does, nor does it have the technical apects of fiasco/liar's poker. To me its just Lewis' final dig at the career that took him away from getting to the moon. He seems really spiteful, unlike Troobs and Rolfe in Monkey Business. A lot of whinging if you ask me. My recommendations for books to read would be: -Built to Last -Profit from the Core -The McKinsey Way. Anyone read The McKinsey Way? Any good?
Message: Just finished it this week... very simple reading (you can read in a day if you wanted to). It's a good introduction to strategy consulting, but if you are already fairly familiar with the industry time and money might be better spent on a higher level book. However, all in all, it's still pretty good and I would recommend it.
