My initial foray into consulting was with D&T. It was package implementation and too technically oriented for my taste. I keep reading about strategy consulting and feel this would be the best fit for my interests and talents. I have yet to meet a strategy consultant. Can anyone out there give me a thumbnail sketch of the specific tasks of a strategy consultant. I know it will vary by engagement, but I just need to know if my perception matches the reality. We strat guys aren't hard to meet. Why not try turning up at a friend's party, your school's alumni events, or at a charity volunteer day? Surely you have connections if you worked at DT.
