Your Questions and Brief responses:
a) Management Accounting is very different from Consulting. Also, I assume that perhaps your resume did not demonstrate experiences that may be needed in the consulting world and/or perhaps your profile did not differentiate itself to others seeking for similar roles.
Given this market, there has been a dramatic drop in demand for consulting services; thus, perhaps adding to the reason why you were not contacted.
I suggest that you do some research first on what consultants do, and try to cater your resume that way.
b) any suggestion how did i start in this line??
1st figure out more what consulting is about - what type of consulting you want to get into and how your experiences clearly demonstrate you can do what you are looking to do - preparation is key - this can be easily seen through your resume. Even with your short note here, it appears that little prep was done at all.
I am not trying to shoot you down, but encourage you to do more homework before embarking on such a career objective.
Good luck!
