In fact partner comp varies by a lot of factors and can vary significatnly from partner-to-partner. These factors are explained in "the art of partner compensation" in Maister's "Managing the Professional Services Firm."

I think its obvious that partner comp will vary significantly -- what I am interested in is knowing ranges.
