Whoever posted the comment about whether an MBA is worth it or not - I have your answer. Don't go back to school. The very fact that you are trying to evaluate education in terms of how much it guarantees a future salary suggests you understand very little about what an MBA is all about. Nothing in the world aside from hard work and persereverence guarantees high salaries. So stop trying to do "roi" analyses on educational opportunities - the value of education just change just because the economy is in the dumps |

My understanding is that the historical context of the MBA is as a crash-course in quantitiative finance for engineers moving into management.
I know that the degree has mutated but please keep in mind that so very, very few people become M/B/B MDs that it is not something you can plan on.
