I graduated from a top 5 mba program in 2001 and had my start date with Accenture's strategy practice deferred indefinitely to date. I've been doing some volunteer work and also some contract software implementation work while waiting around. Are any firms hiring right now and is there any hope that the industry outlook will improve in the near term? |

I was working for a year in Prague office of Deloitte Solutions. We did some interesting strategy projects not to mention projects of all stripes. I had a blast! We competed with Kearney's and other strategy houses for work. The market was great for a while but has now started to deteriorate. I think the money is moving farther east. If you are adventurous and have time to kill, forge a path and consult in a new frontier. Be a pioneer!
