I work for one of the "big 5" (old name, I know), in the Paris HQ: things are pretty bleary, and they have been for the past 1.5 years...
we've got the lowest bonuses in history, the first pay increases in 2 years, and recruitment has been frozen since 2002.
The only reason the utilization rate is not under 50% is because a lot of people have left.
The trouble is that the ones with the good customers left first...
The projects are becoming increasingly boring: less strategy and more IT implementation.
Sorry to paint such a dreary picture, but I really don't see this company getting back on its feet any time soon. And now you tell me the others aren't doing any better!
