I am a first year MBA student about to begin my summer internship at Booz Allen. I was wondering if somebody could advise me regarding preparation for the upcoming internship? Is there a place I could pcik up advanced excel etc. |

i'm not in consulting, so you may want to take my advice with a grain of salt----as far as computer training goes, i think you should pick up an Excel training book at Barnes & Noble or some place like that. Most of them have pretty detailed lessons....if you follow the book and simply dick around with the software, you get the hang of it pretty fast.
question: what did you do before starting your MBA program? in other words, is there a typical background for people who do summer internships at consulting companies? i'm starting school again this fall and would like to get a jump on the consulting internship game for summer 2004.....i need to know how i should "market" myself, and if my prior expereince will help me at all. thanks
