I think Consultants have an advantage in doing Corp Fin work. They can do the strategy portion. In addition, a lot of the M&A work is useful only if the synergies (cost reduction, etc.) exist with the target. Consultants are beyyer able to do this.
My thoughts are more to trigger a debate. Any thoughts on this? |

But why would you do a merger or acquisition if there were no synergies?
