I figured it was much different but just thought my experience may help in some way. Also, I agree, the interviews were ridiculously technical, sometimes to the point that I felt the interviewer didn't know what they were asking.

That's what I hear about a lot of SS interviews. That EVA baloney can really mess up a lot of companies where capital isn't the key driver of performance. One of my clients used it and it caused a huge problem that is very obvious to all their customers. But the whole comp system was tied to EVA, which meant that nobody could solve the problem without a big hit against the EVA numbers.
