I need some help. My boss and I are in charge of the strategic planning and pricing strategies at a $250MM company located in central Ohio (which is part of a larger $2B company). We are a manufacturer in a very stable industry.
We are trying to find a smart and energetic person to compliment our team, but HR is not having much luck finding resumes. I know there are PLENTY of people looking for jobs, and my boss has given me the go-ahead to find some canidates.
Is anyone here interested in moving to Ohio?
Any advice,

Sounds interesting. I'm not sure about the location, though. I think you can get someone good if you post a WSJ ad. Of course, you will have to weed through all the resumes. But if you specify top-level consulting experience, that will help.
I would also suggest going directly to some of the top firms and tell them what you are looking for. They are all still shedding people...and even in the good times, it was always accepted that people would be leaving.
Sounds like your ideal pick would be some young hard-charger whose family is in Ohio. I think such people exist, but this board seems rather low-traffic. And has a lot of undergrads. Worth a shot of course...congrats on the initiative...lots of time, the unexpected route works better than the normal one. Good luck!
