The better question is what in the lord world you should do to GET INTERVIEWS.
Why not try the usual? Won't work any better or any worse than it does for everyone else.
Besides, YOU might get lucky, and actually get invited for an interview in a field where you have zero experience.
OH? OK, then --- you say you don't want to count on pure, blind luck? Fine - approach your job search as a marketing problem that can be solved with the right strategic solutions.

Bold statement to say zero experience...
Do you really believe that a consultant by trade (thus who has never implemented anything) is better suited to advise someone than someone who has already held an executive position, hired consultants, and actually implemented the strategies?
But thank you for the comment on solving the marketing problem with strategic solutions, I will give it a shot.
