In Reply To: I am currently working in the field of litigation/economic consulting at a public, national consulting firm. Although a CPA is not required to perform this sort of work, nor is it necessary in terms of promotion, I am wondering if I should attempt to get one anyway. I was a dual economics and accounting major in college, and so I would have to pursue extra credits at community college to make this work. Any insight?
Message: I believe you need 27 hours of college accounting, including 6 hours of business law to sit for the CPA exam. This probably varies from state to state though.
