Passing acturial exams useful for stragegy consulting? |

I'm thinking of getting the associate acturial designation just to prove to potentials employers that I can handle math. But as you know, there's a HUGE amount of material being examined by the acturial tests, and since I haven't taken calculus beyond 1st year and calculus based statistics/probability, there's quite a lot to learn. I'm aiming for strategy consulting (Big 3, specializing in corporate finance if possible), work for 2-3 years before heading for business school. Dear consultants, do you think such effort is worth while? Or perhaps I should just take a few difficult/mathy "extra" courses on the top of my bachelor degree requirement to prove myself? Will the stuff I learn be useful at any stage of my non-acturial career? Thanks a lot.
