Topic Name: McKinsey Caliber
Message Name: Why would you want an entry position at McK
Date Posted: 02/06/2003
In Reply To: People at McK have good if not excellent academics. It's vey unlikely that someone with a 2.2 or 3rd could get an entry level position.
Message: They don't pay graduates any more than anyone else and you have to work harder than at most other places. You only want to bother with McK when you have experience and can get a decent senior position. And who said we were solely talking about undergraduate entry positions anyway? And by the way I know someone who now teaches issue analysis freelance but learnt it at McK. She has 2.2, although admitedly it is from Cambridge.
