Hi everyone, advice needed!
My profile in brief:
- MS in Engineering and Applied Maths (top 20% of class) in top 15 school.
- 2y Big 4 consulting
- (current position) 2y on a trading floor for a major US IB (quant analysis and structuring of derivatives)
Goal: work at strat firms (M/B/B... not big 4)
Do I have a shot or do I (sadly) need an MBA? In the second case what would be my chances to get into a top 10 program (assuming my GMAT score is above 700).
Thanks a lot.

..in normal times your chances would be good. IBs are appreciated, techies also.
Right now, nobody can tell.
You can try both: top consultants answer pretty fast. In one month you should be through the whole hiring process. I would also try BAH, and Roland Berger -the latter being good but very german.
The MBA: maybe some well known one year MBA like INSEAD, or Cornell? Mind the essays and the recommendations and get a top gmat, you should make it.
A 2 year mba looks to me like a loss of time. Unless it is exceptionally famous, say harvard. The MBA is a networking device, you learn the stuff on the job anyway.
Good luck.
