I've also considered sending a sample of work that illustrates my analytic and strategic thinking skills along with my cover letter. It wouldn't be anything too long, just a brief, 6-8 page proposal for a project I'm working on right now. Do you think that's a good idea or just another burden on the person(s) who will scan my resume and cover letter? Thanks for the helpful advice! |

Actually, it'll be a burden on Jerry, our mail room guy who does the copying. It likely won't help too much, but it couldn't hurt too much either... the worst that could happen is that it'll end up in the circular file. Make sure it's sanitized of anything that anyone might think could be confidential.
