I will soon complete my 2 year stint as an IB analyst at a bulge bracket bank. Now, I am interested in trying consulting at a big 3 strategy firm. Would I be hired as a first year analyst, or could I command higher pay than a fresh college grad? I graduated from a top school and did well in banking, but I want to try something else before applying to b-school. Would M/B/B even consider hiring me? |

From what I understand, now isn't the best time to go for those jobs. Two years ago, yes, and maybe two years from now, but definitely not now.
But who knows? why not apply?
