But in reality how can you gain experience when people base their hiring on prior experience. This happened to me during an opportunity with a bulge bracket I-Banking company.I got up to the finals and I was not extended an offer. One of the interviewers mentioned that I needed more experience. It is
conflictional since I will not gain experience if Im not extended an offer. Any advice would be helpful. Thank you Miguel_y for advice. |

If they say they like you and want to work with you down the line, try to network off your contact and ask them what they would recommend for experience. You might not be suited for that job at the moment, but there may be others they can set you on the road to get there.
