I think that most people can list off all of the usual... people skills, analytical, self-starter, etc. But it all boils down to this when competing for these great internships and positions. You've got relevant top notch experience (it better be a brand name) and you come off very confident (though not arrogant). Those are pretty much the differentiators. The rest are givens for most jobs. |

But in reality how can you gain experience when people base their hiring on prior experience. This happened to me during an opportunity with a bulge bracket I-Banking company.I got up to the finals and I was not extended an offer. One of the interviewers mentioned that I needed more experience. It is
conflictional since I will not gain experience if Im not extended an offer. Any advice would be helpful. Thank you Miguel_y for advice.
