In Reply To: On behalf of the consulting ,can I express my disappointment at how you were treated... We need engineers (e.g. we have them as clients ??)but all we seem to recruit are MBA clones / fluent Java speakers. We preach the benefits of diversity but haven't got a clue about its practical application (much of what we preach we don't apply, come to think of it). If our sterile approach to recruiting was correct, the most reliable indicator of success, for any corporation, would be the ratio of Major League MBAs to total employees. As you might guess, there's no correlation - so our approach is Jack...
Message: Hello rosebery, I also thought that the consulting world was keen on engineers until I got one reply for about 100 applications!!! I'm already settled to start work for my eng. firm but I truly recommend you hire engineers. I went to school with about 600 of them and I assure you that they are the smartest, quickest most hardworking people I've ever met in my life. I went to university thinking I was very smart only to find out that I'm the norm at engineering school. You guys are seriously missing out on this, engineers have the ability and desire to solve any problem!!! invaluable for consulting. anyway, thanks for your message, you cheered me up.
