You might want to try some of the smaller firms. They aren't as rigid in their hiring requirements and will place more value on individual strengths. Also, in smaller firms it is sometimes easier to get exposure to senior level clients and be visible to partners. The downside is that the smaller firms often are extremely competitive and 80+ hour work weeks and Sun-Fri travel are common.
