I have done research and talked to a whole bunch of people who are in the industry and after months of introspection and research have decided that Strategy consulting is "it" for me.
But after having applied to top consulting firms, I haven't received no reply except the automatic "Thank you for applying emails".
I have a Masters in Electrical Engg. and have been involved in the networking sector. Like all engineers I have good analytical skills and can handle work-stress and long hours pretty good.
Now my question is how do I break into strategy field?
I have fished out the names of Recruiters at BCG et al. Should I cold-call them?
P.S. I am reading up on Porter's Competitive Strategy. Quite interesting.
