I've been in management consulting for 5 years and work with "C" level clients on a regular basis. I don't know about "Top 5" firms, but I can tell you with certainty that your clients could care less where you went to school or what your grades were. They want to see "street smarts" and that you can deliver results. In your interviews, demonstrate that you have kicked a## at whatever you have done in your life. Anyone can read a book, prove that you can actually get things done.
