The McKinsey Way was weak (the author had like 2 years experience and it all seemed to be for financial services clients), but it definitely outlined many key consulting concepts with more street smarts than you get in training. You could read it in a couple hours... might be worth it. The definitive book on M/B/B has not been written, but I doubt it will be. |

The book seemed to wander a bit. Was he willing to really dish the dirt and do an expose. Sorta....but not totally. Was he writing a book about his experience? About how to suceed in consulting? Or even in business?
He seemed to want to get credit for doing all these things but didn't really focus and knock one of them out of the park.
